What we do
To create an open, reliable internet, data, and Digital environment, we collaborate with communities and all stakehlders of various sectors of the economy.
In order to achieve our purpose, we work to influence governments, communities, and organizations that store and use data and the Internet in a sustainable way.
We do this through three key actions:
Targeted community and sector programmes – coordinating institutions to tackle a social or economic problem in an open approach.
Practical advocacy – collaborating with stakeholders and communities to develop solutions that will support social transformation.
Peer Networks – bringing communities and stakeholders together to learn, share in the knowledge and experiences
Our Activities:
To further our mission, we need to bring about sustainable behavioural change within communities and organisations that use data and the internet.
This needs to address the motivation, opportunity and capability of those actors. We consider the following sets of activities that, in our capability, are most likely to lead to that sustainable change.
Community Dialogue –
Open data Policy development – analyzing the interaction between general data governance practices and sector norms
Consultancy and Advice – Discuss with us how we might support your data strategy, data policy, or new prospects.
Research and development – research and work towards innovation and improvement of services, products and processes
Training and capacity building – provide face-to face or virtual training and capacity building on digital technological related programs (internet governance, open data, cyber security and DNS, geospatial technologies, emerging technologies (Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IOT), Big Data and Analytics.)
Innovation and startups – We foster innovation through community programs such as Forums, workshops, conferencing, hackathons, bootcamps etc
